Meet the designer behind Santosha Designs, the newest addition to The Beach Shop. This super chill, peace-loving jewelry brand brings you eye-catching handmade crystal jewelry designed to make you feel good.
Who’s that girl?
Since I was a teen, I have always enjoyed making jewelry but it wasn’t until later that it really took hold.
During the summer of 2017, I was waiting to start a new job in Cayman. Things didn’t go as planned and what should have been a couple of weeks between jobs ended up being 3 months. I was in Peru with friends and family while my husband was in Cayman.
The uncertainty of the situation and not knowing when I would be able to move back to Cayman was a challenging experience. It was during this time that Santosha Designs was born. To find balance, I found using crystals to make earrings, bracelets and mala necklaces the perfect addition to my yoga practice. When I was creating, I felt content.

Eventually, when I was able to move back to Cayman, I decided to bring the crystals with me. A few months later I joined the Visual Art Society, where I am still a member today.
What does Santosha mean?
The practice of santosha is to let go of desires for what we don’t need, be fulfilled with all that we have, and be grateful for all that we are.
Santosha or contentment, means keeping a positive attitude in difficult times. We can choose to wallow during times of difficulty or we can rise above our challenges and see them as opportunities of transformation.
Santosha is simply enjoying the little things in life.
Where are Santosha stones from?
The stones come from Peru, where I carefully source each one to create one of a kind pieces. Each design is unique which is why you won’t find the same style or combination twice.
I design each piece with love and I hope that you enjoy wearing them as much as I enjoy making them for you.
